Duchess' Journal I wasn't going to do this because I figured it would be all sci-fi and fantasy and I would feel stupid for not having read any of them. But I looked at the list, and thought, huh. The basic rules: bold what you have read, italicize what you started but couldn’t finish, and ( Book list! ) I've read most of the classics, but not necessarily finished them all. Hooray for all the Jane Austen books, since they tipped the balance for me. I have to say, I read many of the books when I was younger and didn't get it, which is why I couldn't stand them (ie: Brothers Karamazov and Dubliners). Also some books I had to read for school, like Ulysses and Mrs. Dalloway...
I've been watching the 12 Days of Christmas song make its rounds on my friendslist. I was originally not interested, but I just tried it. The site told me: This song would be better if the user had some interests listed. Add some and come back tomorrow, if it's yours. What was my song? On the twelfth day of Christmas, Twelve Eleven Ten Nine Eight Seven Six Five Four Three Two ...and a LiveJournal meme in a pear tree. I get dancing I think I like it better without the interests! Current mood: amused. I recently added a few friends to my friends-list, but since I rarely post on LiveJournal, I thought I would just say hi! Also, if you would rather read my posts through LiveJournal instead of going to the web site each time, you can subscribe to my RSS feed using this link: http://syndicated.livejournal.com/duches Basically, this link would add "duchess_muse" to your friends-page, and whenever I write anything on The Muse, you will see it appear on your friends-page. Handy, no? This test sucks:
I find it interesting that I do have some Dixie - I blame I noticed this link http://nielsenhayden.com/makinglight/arc ParserGirl says (to Duchess), "Maga wishes he were marrying me(instead of you, oh snap)." Seems like people took my attempt at making a list of songs easily recognizable in good humor. I was surprised one or two remained unrecognized, so I am actually putting up the answers, just like a good sheep I am. ( answers ) All in all, I am happy people guessed most of them, but I am musing over the ones people didn't. Thanks for playing! I looked at I think If you figure out what the CD was, or the theme of the CD, it should get pretty easy. Maybe I should put the one-song-per-person-restriction on this...? Edited: I italicized the ones people said they knew - but there seems to be a couple that no one recognized yet... ( enjoy! ) Current mood: smug too. |
